How to Deactivate Accounts & Patients

Patients and accounts can now be inactivated individually or as a group based on common criteria.  To inactivate single names, the steps are:

  1. Search for the name on your Patient and Account Selection list

  2. Attempt to delete the name using Shift/Line Del.  You will get a message telling you that you cannot delete a name with transactions.

  3. The next question asks if you would like to inactivate the patient or account.  Answer Y.

To inactivate names as a group, the steps are

  1. On the Main Menu, press Search

  2. Type "inactive".

  3. Select NACMNT - manipulate inactive accounts and patients.

  4. From here you can use the standard Turboscan screens to select groups of accounts or patients to either inactivate or reactivate.

How to Reactivate Accounts & Patients

To reactivate either individual or groups of patients or accounts, follow these steps:

"I have used other systems and they are no way near as user-friendly as Datacon. You are able to see different ways to get to one area. The system will ask you a question before proceeding to the next screen, which helps prevent careless mistakes." Irma Esparza, Dr. Valentine - Modesto.
