Control Sheets & Daily
Statistics |
 |
|
|
|
Have you noticed that your Control Sheets and
your Daily Statistics totals don't always match? This is
because they are tracking different information.
The Control Sheets and Daily Statistics are a
system of checks and balances. Whereas these two reports
are significantly different and serve different purposes,
quite often they do balance to each other. The primary
differences between them are.
Control Sheets
-
Time driven:
The user prints this report on demand, allowing you to
control the opening and closing of the report. The
control sheet reflects all transactions posted from the
time you printed and accepted until it is printed again
-
Transactions
cannot be added to a
control sheet once accepted. Transactions are printed
in the order posted and cannot be altered once accepted.
-
Printing:
Once
accepted, a control sheet cannot be reprinted. This
protects data from being manipulated and creates a
strict audit control of transactions posted into or
deleted out of the database

| "I love the versatility and flexibility in the reporting. Most spectacular is the compatibility to other dental programs that can integrate with Datacon. Datacon's support crew always finds a solution and the trainers always have a positive attitude," Ms. Jodi Kwan, Dr. Lakha and Baird - Palo Alto |

-
Deleted transactions:
are reflected at the time they
are done and prints the initials of the user who performed
the function and the original date of the transaction
Daily
Statistics
-
Date
driven:
Reflects all transactions posted within a particular date.
-
Transactions
can be added to Daily
Statistics by using the particular posting date.
(Transactions that are "back posted" are reflected on the
currently open control sheet)
-
Printing:
Selecting
the date, completed
transactions and pressing the print key can always print
"Daily Statistics".
-
Deleted
transactions:
are subtracted from the day's
statistics and the totals are adjusted for the date the
transaction was originally posted.
The Daily Statistics will match the Control Sheet
only if you
-
Finish all your posting
for the day before running the Control Sheet
-
Do not post any more
transactions for that calendar day
-
Print and accept the
deposit at the same time as the Control Sheet
-
Do not back post any
transactions*.
Note: Quite often circumstances force you to post
to a prior day. We recommend that you post all transactions to
the correct date. |
