Your pcLink installation on your PC can be customized to include integration (data sharing) with many popular PC applications.  Currently, pcLink and Datacon support integration between your Datacon Dental System and the following PC based programs.  For more information, go to our Integration page.

Quick Access to Other PC Programs	Back to Top
If you frequently utilize PC programs other than those listed above, we can provide customized “quick access” to up to 10 programs through the Go Menu in pcLink.  This feature allows you to quickly alternate between your Datacon Dental System and your other PC applications, such as MS Word.

Windows 95, 98, me, NT, 2000, XP (Home or Pro) Windows XP is NOT recommended for Serial connections At least 16 MB of RAM PC monitor resolution of 1024x768 with high color (16 bit) and large fonts Datacon Dental System version 3.5N(76) or higher pcLink license for the correct number of users Datacon server licensed for the correct number of users and with memory appropriate for the total number of users 5 MB of free disk space on the C: drive of the PC If using pcLink to connect via modem from a remote site The PC must have a modem installed, and have access to a phone line The modem at the office must be compatible with the remote modem. Datacon recommends a US Robotics V.Everything modem at the office. Office serial connections require a free COM port on the PC, a free port on the Datacon server, and a cable (supplied by Datacon) run from the PC to the server (a cable previously used for a "dumb" terminal won't work with a PC) Office network connections are where the PC(s) are connected to the Datacon server via a Local Area Network.  Call Datacon for information on required components. Recommended When using pcLink with a modem connection, we recommend a dedicated phone line at both the office and at the remote site. Windows XP is NOT recommended for Serial connections
